NUT MILK
1 cup slivered almonds,
cashews or macademia nuts without skin
5 cups purified water

Pureé the nuts with 2 cups of water until smooth. Add 3 more cups water and continue to blend until the mixture is very smooth. Strain through an extra fine strainer or a layer of cheesecloth, pressing the solids to retrieve all the nut milk. Discard the solids.
